Holloway facing tough decisions after QPR win

Ian Holloway has admitted he faces a major selection dilemma ahead of QPR’s visit to Leeds United this weekend.

Rangers boss Holloway made five changes to his side for Tuesday night’s 2-1 win against Barnsley at Loftus Road, where in-form strikers Conor Washington and Matt Smith were left out of the starting line-up.

The likes of Idrissa Sylla and Yeni Ngbakoto took their chance to impress as the west London side chalked up a third consecutive home win.

And the result means Holloway must now make some tough choices for the game at Elland Road on Saturday.

He told West London Sport: “I’m very pleased I can make five changes and the team play as well as that. It’s a good feeling in that dressing room.

“It proves to me that the group are enjoying what they’re doing and have accepted my decisions fantastically well.

“We’ve rested a couple who will be playing on Saturday and we’re starting to feel like we’re not a bad unit.

“The team rose to what I wanted to do, so I’m going to have a right headache thinking about who I won’t take on that bus.

“Unfortunately I can’t take everybody. But hopefully they’ll take it in the right way.”
