One more QPR deal still possible on deadline day

QPR are trying to offload Idrissa Sylla in the final hours of the French transfer window.

The window remains open in parts of Europe for a few more hours and West London Sport reports that Rangers are trying to organise a move to France for Sylla as the deadline approaches after interest from Turkish clubs came to nothing.

Rangers are keen to remove the striker from their wage bill and he has slipped further down the pecking order at Loftus Road following the recent loan signings of Tomer Hemed and Nahki Wells from Brighton and Burnley respectively.

Speaking earlier this week, QPR manager Steve McClaren made it clear the club would be looking to get rid of players before the end of the week.

“We’re looking at options with everything at the present moment,” said McClaren.

“We’ve got some players we want to come in and we’ve got some players that need to go out on loan, and also some players that need to leave the club.

“Hopefully in the next two or three days that will all be sorted.”

Conor Washington, meanwhile, has signed for Sheffield United on a one-year deal after his QPR contract was terminated by mutual consent.
