QPR youngster Osman Kakay has signed a new contract at Loftus Road.
The 19-year-old has agreed a one-year extension which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2018.
Defender Kakay joined the club aged six and made his QPR first-team debut in the League Cup win over Rochdale in August.
He followed that with another appearance in the next round against Sunderland in September and has also been named on the bench in seven of Rangers’ 16 Championship matches, without being brought on.
Kakay made his professional debut back in January during a loan spell with Scottish Championship side Livingston, for whom he played 12 times last season.
“I feel like I am in a good place at the club, and I just want to work as hard as I can,” Kakay told QPR’s official website.
“It’s certainly not a case of being able to relax now that I have signed a new contract – it’s a case of pushing on and doing everything I can to break into that first team and playing as much as possible.
“Being in and around the first team, training with them every day, has been brilliant.
“It has really helped me to improve the physical and technical side of my game, and I feel like I am becoming a better player for it.”
