Leeds United want Rangers star – his manager says he would grace Elland Road

Leeds United are reportedly keen on QPR star Luke Freeman.

Talksport say boss Marcelo Bielsa wants playmaker Freeman and is also monitoring his Rangers team-mate Ebere Eze.

It comes after Freeman scored the winner and was outstanding in QPR’s recent win against Leeds.

In fact, Rangers manager Steve McClaren remarked after that game at Loftus Road that Freeman would be good enough to play in Bielsa’s promotion-chasing Leeds team.

McClaren told West London Sport: “He showed his real quality and infectious enthusiasm that he gives to the team.

“When you’re looking for leadership and looking for people to have courage and take the ball, he’s got all that.

“He’s someone who can play at the top of the Championship, could play in that Leeds team and could play in the Premier League, so we’re delighted to have him here.”

Rangers turned down offers from Middlesbrough for Freeman last summer and he has since extended his contract.

He has been a key player for the west London side since being signed from Bristol City for £350,000 in January 2017, while young forward Eze has made a name for himself having been picked up by the R’s after being released by Millwall.
