QPR boss Ian Holloway has indicated that Massimo Luongo will play against Aston Villa on Saturday.
Luongo has been on international duty with Australia, who qualified for next year’s World Cup by beating Honduras in a two-legged play-off.
The midfielder only returned to London on Friday morning and is one of a number of internationals Holloway will need to assess before deciding his line-up to face Villa at Loftus Road
Speaking to QPR’s official website, Holloway, whose team were thrashed 4-0 at Nottingham Forest last time out, seemed optimistic that Luongo will be involved this weekend.
“Massimo Luongo only got back on Friday morning so that’s difficult but I am sure he will be ready to go for us again,” he said.
“We have had a few lads away on international duty and I will have to look at that – how are they morale-wise if they haven’t got what they wanted?
“Everyone else here has been good, they have bounced back well from the Forest game. It hurt us so let’s see if we can respond in the right way.”
Rangers, 15th in the Championship table, are still without the likes of Nedum Onuoha, Grant Hall and James Perch.
