Holloway and Ferdinand to meet with QPR owners

Ian Holloway and Les Ferdinand will this week fly to Malaysia to meet with QPR’s owners.

Manager Holloway and director of football Ferdinand will be joined on the trip by chief executive Lee Hoos.

The Rangers hierarchy will discuss transfer plans for next season and Ferdinand told the club’s website that achieving value for money will be the aim.

“We have to be realistic about where we are, and do everything we can to ensure we achieve value for money on any transfer business,” Ferdinand said.

“We are working to a tight budget so in order for us to go out and buy players, we may need to sell to raise funds.

“We’ve got targets and we have a board meeting later this week which will give us a clearer picture of how we will move forward.”

Holloway is keen to significantly add to his squad during the summer, while Ferdinand wants the club to continue building with the future in mind.

Former R’s striker Ferdinand said: “We all have our ideas and our input. It’s not just about now and the manager, but it’s for the future as well – that’s the whole point of the position I am in.”
