Leeds United could face competition for the signing of QPR playmaker Luke Freeman.
Leeds boss Marcelo Bielsa is said to be keen to snap up Freeman, who was outstanding in Rangers’ recent win against the Yorkshire side.
But it is understood that Middlesbrough, who previously tried to sign Freeman, remain interested.
QPR turned down offers from Boro last summer and the Teesside club are expected to make another approach at the end of this season.
Speaking to West London Sport, Freeman recently insisted he was unfazed by speculation over his future.
He said: “I’m not concentrating on that at all. We’ve got 10 games left of the season and the most important thing is QPR.
“That’s the only thing I’m concentrating on – playing for QPR and picking up points and winning games.”
Talksport reported that Leeds want Freeman and are also monitoring his Rangers team-mate Ebere Eze.
Rangers manager Steve McClaren remarked after his team’s Freeman-inspired win over Leeds at Loftus Road that the R’s talisman would be good enough to play in Bielsa’s promotion-chasing Leeds team.

McClaren told West London Sport: “He showed his real quality and infectious enthusiasm that he gives to the team.
“When you’re looking for leadership and looking for people to have courage and take the ball, he’s got all that.
“He’s someone who can play at the top of the Championship, could play in that Leeds team and could play in the Premier League, so we’re delighted to have him here.”
