Joel Lynch and Jamie Mackie are set to return to the QPR squad for Saturday’s game against Leeds United at Elland Road.
Both players were rested for Tuesday’s win against Barnsley at Loftus Road, where Ian Holloway’s side recorded their fourth win in five matches.
R’s boss Holloway made a number of changes for that game and is expected to make more changes for the visit to face a Leeds team he believes boast the Championship’s best striker in Chris Wood.
Wood has scored 25 goals for the promotion-chasing Yorkshire side this season.
Holloway could therefore restore the experienced Lynch to his back four as the defender was in good form before being left out in midweek.
Holloway told QPR’s website: “Chris Wood is the best striker in the division, and we have to try to take care of him.
“Pablo Hernandez behind him in a 4-2-3-1 is really dangerous, and I think they are going to have probably one of the best young midfielders in the division playing in Ronaldo Vieira. He has been sensational.
“It’s a great test for us. Can we go there and get something?”
He added: “We are going to have to accept that Leeds will have more of the ball, and we are going to have to try to stop them, and impose ourselves on them and the game.
“It won’t be easy but I’m really looking forward to it.”
