Geoff Cameron says he will bring experience and a hardworking mentality to QPR.
The 33-year-old American, who can play in either defence or midfield, has completed a season-long loan move to Loftus Road from Stoke.
Rangers manager Steve McClaren has long been an admirer of Cameron, who is expected to make his debut against Birmingham City on Saturday.
“I decided over the summer that I wanted a change and something new. The boss here has been interested in me before and I’m excited to play for him,” Cameron told QPR’s website.
“He wanted me here which is always a big part when they believe in your ability. I want to help the team and get us up the table.
“I’m the guy that does the dirty work. I’m not the flashiest of players, I try to read the game and get the ball to the guys that can score the goals!”
Cameron, who joined Stoke in 2012, says he is relishing the opportunity to pass on his knowledge to the younger members of QPR’s squad.
“I look at it as a challenge to use my experience. It’s an opportunity to take my game to a leader role,” he said.
