Brentford and QPR pull out of race to sign former Man Utd winger

Brentford and QPR have both reportedly dropped out of the race to sign Nigerian winger Tosin Kehinde.

The former Manchester United youngster, 22, has impressed for Danish club Randers and has been tipped to move on this summer.

He has been linked with several clubs, including Rangers and the Bees, but All Nigeria Soccer say both were put off by the price tag.

Randers apparently wanted 1.5million euros for Kehinde, who has two years remaining on his contract with them.

While a move to west London now appears to be out of the question, Kehinde’s next port of call could be Belgium.

Danish club FC Copenhagen are reportedly keen on him but there is also believed to be interest from Belgian side Zulte-Waregem.

He was initially linked with QPR when there were doubts over the future of winger Bright Osayi-Samuel, who was refusing to sign a new contract.

Osayi-Samuel subsequently left Loftus Road to join Turkish club Fenerbahce and it seems likely that the R’s will look to bring in another winger with pace. But it seems Kehinde is no longer on their radar.

Brentford, meanwhile, will clearly be aiming higher in terms of their transfer targets now they have been promoted to the Premier League.
