Former Derby County striker Lewis Walker is the latest young player QPR are having a look at.
Rangers continually take youngsters on trial after they have been released by other clubs – and with some success.
They snapped up Ebere Eze after he was released by Millwall and have brought in several other players who were looking for a second chance after being shown the door elsewhere.
They include the likes of Aramide Oteh and Charlie Owens, who were released by Tottenham, and Chay Tilt, who joined the R’s from West Bromwich Albion.
And West London Sport reports that QPR are now giving a trial to Walker, who left Derby in July when his contract was terminated by mutual agreement.
The 20-year-old son of former England defender Des Walker joined Derby from non-League Ilkeston in 2016.
He did not make a first-team appearance for the Rams but made a number of appearances for their Under-23 side during his time at Pride Park.
Derby announced when they signed Walker that several other Championship clubs had been keen to snap him up, such was the impact he made in non-League football.
Walker’s brother Tyler is currently on loan at Mansfield Town from Nottingham Forest.
