West Ham, recently linked with Gylfi Sigurdsson, face competition from Newcastle to sign the Swansea City midfielder, The Sun say.
The newspaper claims Newcastle boss Rafael Benitez is keen to sign former Tottenham man Sigurdsson in the summer if the Magpies seal promotion back to the Premier League.
Newcastle will look to sign the 27-year-old Icelander for around £15m, The Sun reckon.
As well as West Ham and Newcastle, Everton and Southampton are said to be interested in Sigurdsson.
A source is quoted as saying: “Rafa knows he can’t just go out there and buy the biggest names in their first season back – but Gylfi would be a good-value addition to his squad.”
Meanwhile, the Daily Express have picked up on reports in Italy claiming that Arsenal are interested in signing Southampton winger Dusan Tadic for £13m.
Chelsea continue to be linked with Middlesbrough centre-back Ben Gibson.
The Daily Mirror say Gibson will be a target for all of the Premier League’s top six this summer.
The Mirror claim Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool have sent scouts to watch him on a regular basis and declare that Gibson’s England call-up “will only heighten interest in the classy centre half.”
And the Daily Mail have picked up reports in Spain that Eden Hazard’s representatives held what has been described as “positive talks” over a potential move to Real Madrid for the Chelsea star.
It is claimed that Chelsea want James Rodriguez in exchange for Hazard, who continues to be linked with a transfer to Real.
The Spanish club also continue to be linked with Blues goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.
