Paper round-up: Jese speculation and Hammers are linked with Arsenal man’s brother

The Sun claim Tottenham will be beaten to the signing of Paris St Germain’s Jese.

The newspaper say Liverpool will also miss out because Roma are set to sign the player.

It comes after The Sun previously claimed that Jese was wanted by both English clubs.

Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino insisted on Friday that he was not looking to add to his squad during the January transfer window.

Meanwhile, West Ham are considering a £4m move for Arsenal midfielder Granit Xhaka’s brother Taulant, according to the Daily Mirror, which says the Hammers have enquired about the Basel midfielder.

Chelsea reportedly plan to offer Bayern Munich around £34m for Arturo Vidal.

The Sun say Bayern are likely to reject the offer and hold out for £40m for Chilean midfielder Vidal, who previously played under Blues boss Antonio Conte at Juventus.

The Mirror say Chelsea legend Gianfranco Zola, recently installed as Birmingham City manager, will look to sign Chelsea’s best youngsters on loan.

Zola has apparently approached his former club and the Mirror suggest that could mean the likes of Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Dominic Solanke move to St Andrews.

And keeper Thibaut Courtois will open talks over a new contract at Chelsea, The Guardian reports.
