QPR are considering giving former former Bolton Wanderers defender Alex Finney a contract at Loftus Road.
Finney, 20, has featured in a number of matches for Rangers’ development side in recent weeks.
His most recent appearance for the club’s second string came in a game against Coventry City played at Loftus Road on Friday.
Finney has been without a club since his Bolton contract was cancelled by mutual consent in August this year.
He joined Wanderers from Leyton Orient in 2014 after rejecting the east London side’s offer of a professional contract.
Finney, who came through the youth ranks at Orient, opted to join Bolton after a compensation deal was agreed between the two clubs.
But he was unable to establish himself as a first-team play at Wanderers.
Finney made three first-team appearances during his one-year stay at Bolton, with two of them coming in the league.
His final appearance came in a League Cup tie against Blackpool days before he was released by the League One club.
He was invited to train with QPR in October and did enough for the club to take a longer look at him with a view to potentially offering him a deal.
