Chelsea’s Dominic Solanke scored as England’s Under-20 side rounded off their Four Nations-winning campaign with a 2-0 victory against the United States.
After a late goal from Ovie Ejaria of Liverpool broke the deadlock, striker Solanke sealed the win from the penalty spot with virtually the last kick of the match.
It meant three wins out of three for the Young Lions, who also beat Germany and the Netherlands.
Defender Jake Clarke-Salter, currently on loan at Bristol Rovers from Chelsea, also featured in the game at Rochdale’s Spotland ground.
So too did Tottenham’s Kyle Walker-Peters, West Ham’s Reece Oxford and Arsenal pair Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Tafari Moore.
Chelsea’s Fikayo Tomori and Ademole Lookman of Charlton were unused substitutes.
