Many Arsenal fans on Twitter have been calling for manager Arsene Wenger to leave following the 2-1 defeat at home against Watford on Tuesday.
Early goals from ex-Spurs man Younes Kaboul and Troy Deeney put the Hornets in control and Arsenal were unable to mount a comeback despite Alex Iwobi’s second-half finish.
That left them nine points adrift of leaders Chelsea, who they visit on Saturday – and some supporters think Wenger has outstayed his welcome.
Wenger says the players ‘weren’t mentally ready’ for the game. Well I sorry Arsene but that’s a crucial part of your job. Time to go. #afc

Fergie knew when to go and be respected by all. Wenger staying too long due to his ego and losing respect. #UTA

Wenger really is finished. It’s insanity to keep returning to the same tactics that killed last season & will kill this.
He’s a fraud.

Wenger needs to go now. The league has gone and an FA Cup run isnt going to do much when we have won it twice in the last 3 years

Wenger has to go he cannot take this club any further along with the coaching and medical staff. Total clear out and a fresh start required!

you have to let things go sometimes and this is it, what has Wenger achieved in the last 13 years? 2 FA Cups..GREAT! we want a change…

Don’t disrespect Wenger but he’s far past it and deserves to go… everything except memories has an expiration date

Love Wenger, but I am getting to that point where it feels like he needs to go for something to change.

However, other Arsenal fans saw no point in calls for Wenger to leave before his contract expires – and some questioned what would happen next.
Wenger will never leave mid way through a season, don’t know why people are calling for him to go now. He will always honour his contract

Get that people want Wenger to go, but right now? Behave yourselves
What logic is there leaving mid season?

Fans that want Wenger out I would like to know who you would have to replace him because any one other than him will make the team worse
