There was disappointment for Chelsea fans in Frank Lampard’s first home game as Blues boss.
After a cracking start in which Mason Mount put Chelsea ahead, they ran out of ideas and a 1-1 draw with Leicester means they are still waiting for their first win under the new manager.
But what really annoyed some fans was the woeful performance of Willian after he came on as a substitute.
Some supporters were irked by the Brazilian being given the number 10 shirt following Eden Hazard’s summer move to Real Madrid.
And Willian did nothing to win over his critics during his time on the pitch against the Foxes.
If Willian can still be at Chelsea and then also get the number 10 shirt
Literally anything is possible in life
Worthless commenting anything on him
The club is blind#CFC— AayushKataria (@aayush11kataria) August 18, 2019
For someone who needed to prove a point to Lampard, Willian was a borderline disgrace. Subs are meant to make you better. He dropped us about 2 tiers below. #cfc

Why Chelsea didn’t accept £50 million and Malcom from Barca for Willian baffles me would have accepted just the money in my opinion. #CFC #WillianOut #Willian #Chelsea #CHELEI

It’s better to play Kenedy until Hudson-Odoi is back rather than Willian. Better to loose with youth, than to play him. Pedro fights, always gives 200 percent, Willian is just bad influence. #CFC

I was astonished at how little Willian contributed to the game. He was supposed to inject pace and urgency, but he looked lethargic and clueless. A cameo that was hardly befitting of the number 10 shirt. #CFC

With all the emotions I’m feeling after the game I still can’t get over how Willian got the #10 😂😑😒 #CFC

The fact that Willian wears the No.10 shirt is quite frankly demoralising.
He doesn’t carry the skill or meet any of the criteria whatsoever & worst of all, he doesn’t look like he even wants to be wearing it anyway.
Quite simply, get him out of our club. #CHELEI #CFC

You don’t even want Azpi n Willian on the bench; but they are on the pitch! Fallen standards. #CFC
