Tottenham have been linked with Chelsea’s Antonio Rudiger and Ezri Konsa of Aston Villa.
Spurs boss Jose Mourinho is said to be keen to strengthen his defence at the end of the season – and both centre-backs have been linked with possible moves to north London.
Rudiger’s future at Chelsea has been uncertain for some time now, with contract talks so far not resulting in him signing a new deal.
But his position at Stamford Bridge seems much more stable under fellow German Thomas Tuchel and he has been recalled to the side by the new boss having been axed by Frank Lampard.
Football Insider say Chelsea are speaking to Rudiger about a new contract but that Spurs would be interested if he does not reach an agreement with the Blues.
Meanwhile, the Sunday Mirror say Tottenham and Liverpool are interested in Konsa, who is enjoying an impressive season for Dean Smith’s side.
Again it seems to be a case of Spurs being ready to make a move if contract negotiations do not progress.
The newspaper say Villa are talking to the Newham-born former Charlton and Brentford player about extending his deal with the Midlands club, who signed him in 2019.
