Paper round-up: Arsenal and Man Utd both chasing Barcelona star

Arsenal are reportedly competing with Manchester United for the signing of Barcelona defender Samuel Umtiti.

The Gunners have been linked with Umtiti since boss Unai Emery publicly praised the France international.

The Daily Star say United are also interested but that Arsenal are favourites to sign him.

Meanwhile, the Daily Mail reports that Arsenal fans will be guarded by 800 police officers for the Europa League game against Napoli.

The Sun and the Daily Mirror claim Chelsea will compete with Arsenal for the signing of Nicolas Pepe, who has scored 19 goals for Lille this season.

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is again being tipped to take over at Roma this summer.

Amid speculation that head coach Sarri is on his way out of Chelsea, reports in his native Italy suggest he could return to Serie A this summer.

The Sun have picked up on Corriere Dello Sport declaring that former Napoli boss Sarri is being considered for the Roma job.

This could save the Blues “a fortune”, The Sun say, as it would mean the club would not have to pay up his contract if they decide to sack him.

And The Sun say Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino’s record of developing young players means Fulham star Ryan Sessegnon is ready to choose a move to north London rather than Manchester United or Paris St-Germain, who are apparently also keen on him.
