Former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho reportedly wants to sign Ruben Loftus-Cheek for Roma.
The Sun have picked up on reports saying that the Italian club are set to make an approach for Loftus-Cheek when the January transfer window opens.
A move to Rome would see him link up with Tammy Abraham, who left Chelsea to join Mourinho’s side during the summer.
Loftus-Cheek faces major competition for a place at Stamford Bridge – and faces slipping back down the pecking order once the likes of N’Golo Kante and Mateo Kovacic are back in the side.
And he failed to impress in their absence in Thursday’s 1-1 draw with a depleted Everton team.
He missed a great chance to score and his performance attracted plenty of criticism on social media, with some fans insisting he is not good enough for Chelsea.
The likes of Saul, Ross Barkley and Marcos Alonso also came in for criticism after a disappointing Blues display.
It’s sad to come to the realisation of that Loftus-Cheek isn’t good enough to play for Chelsea.

Loftus Cheek plays like he is 18yrs old. Always holds onto the ball for too long. He runs at defenders and then gives a terrible pass. He always wants to beat players even when it’s not needed. It’s like he is playing for YouTube highlights. Kante and Kova are superior
