England v Ireland player ratings: How the London contingent fared at Wembley

England ran out 3-0 winners in a one-sided international at Wembley. Here’s how we rated each of the London contingent.

Reece James: 7

The Chelsea right-back showed again that he is more than at home on the international stage. He was solid defensively and as always a threat with his crosses from the right.

Bukayo Saka: 7

Arsenal’s Saka was involved in plenty of the action. He had an early close-range effort saved, fired a second-half shot into the side netting and won a penalty.

Mason Mount: 7

A decent night’s work for the Chelsea youngster. He served up a couple of dangerous crosses from the right and generally used the ball well before going off in the second half.

Harry Winks: 7

Delivered a fine cross from the right to set up Harry Maguire’s opening goal. The Tottenham midfielder was generally neat and tidy.

Ainsley Maitland-Niles: 6

Arsenal’s Maitland-Niles didn’t really affect the game after coming on in the second half.

Tammy Abraham: 6

Also on as a substitute, the Chelsea striker held the ball up well and linked play nicely. Almost got to a late cross from Phil Foden.

Darren Randolph: 6

Ireland’s West Ham goalkeeper had no chance with any of the goals and did nothing wrong overall.

Matt Doherty: 6

Tottenham’s Doherty had his hands full defensively and was unable to offer much going forward.

Cyrus Christie: 5

Christie, currently on loan at Nottingham Forest from Fulham, had a poor game, offering nothing going forward and giving away the penalty which led to England’s third goal.
