The agent of Chelsea defender Emerson has ruled out a January loan move for the Brazilian and insisted he will only be leaving on a permanent deal.
Emerson joined Chelsea in 2018 from Serie A side AS Roma, but has featured in 62 matches in all competitions, with just seven of those coming this season.
The 26-year-old has played in four Champions League group matches this season, but he has made a Premier League matchday squad just twice.
And his only appearance came as a substitute in the 2-0 win at Newcastle last month.
Inter Milan are among several Italian clubs to have been linked with Emerson and some reports have suggested he could join them on loan.
Speaking to FC Inter News, Emerson’s agent Fernando Garcia claims Lampard is unwilling to allow the full-back to go out on loan in January, with the club preferring to make money on any proposed move.
“Emerson Palmieri to Inter on a free loan? Absolutely not,” he said.
“Chelsea eventually wants to monetise his sale. Not having liquidity is a problem.
“Some teams have already done some polls, but not I reveal which ones. How much does it cost? We haven’t talked about it.”
The report claims former Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is keen to add to his Inter Milan squad. Inter have also been linked with Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud in recent weeks.
