Chelsea and Arsenal have both been linked with a move for Leicester star James Maddison.
It comes after @TheAFCBell posted on Twitter that it has been told that England international Maddison is a Gunners transfer target.
A number of sources have since picked up on this, touting Maddison for a potential big-money move to the Emirates Stadium.
Football.London journalist Chris Wheatley subsequently suggested Arsenal are indeed interested in Maddison – and that he could also be a target for Chelsea.
Wheatley suggested that Chelsea could make a move for Maddison if Hakim Ziyech leaves Stamford Bridge during this summer’s transfer window.
Wheatley tweeted: “Seen some rumours about James Maddison to Arsenal tonight. I’m told that Mikel Arteta is a huge fan of Maddison and he’s certainly a target – but the fee will be an issue. Chelsea also want him if they lose Ziyech.”

Ziyech has struggled for fitness and form since his move to west London from Ajax and reports have indicated that the Blues could be willing to sell him after just one season at the club.
Reports in Italy have linked Ziyech with a move to AC Milan, who are also looking to sign his Chelsea team-mates Fikayo Tomori and Olivier Giroud.
Ziyech, 28, managed just 23 Premier League appearances last season, with eight of those coming as a substitute. He missed the early part of the season with a knee problem which bothered him again later in the campaign.
