The Daily Mirror have picked up on reports in the French media that Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu disagreed over the signing of Thomas Partey.
The Ghana star recently moved to the Emirates Stadium in the final stages of the transfer window and has made three Arsenal appearances so far.
French publication L’Équipe have reported that the move happened after Edu got his way.
Arteta is said to have been keen to instead sign Houssem Aouar.
Meanwhile, Shkodran Mustafi has rejected a new contract and is ready to leave Arsenal on a free transfer at the end of the season, according to the Daily Mail.
West Ham players want boss David Moyes to be given a new contract, according to the Daily Telegraph.
Moyes was given an 18-month deal when he returned for a second spell at the club.
The Hammers have been excellent since lockdown and the Telegraph say Moyes’ squad are keen for him to get a longer-term term deal.
But the newspaper also say West Ham’s board are reluctant to make him an offer until they are convinced the team won’t slip into a relegation battle.
The Sun reports that West Ham co-owner David Sullivan has donated £25,000 to Marcus Rashford’s campaign to provide free lunches for children during school holidays.
Antonio Rudiger is reportedly in line for a recall to the Chelsea side.
Rudiger has been left out by boss Frank Lampard and was available for a loan move during the recent transfer window.
The defender stayed at Stamford Bridge amid doubts over his long-term future.
But the Mail say Lampard is ready to reintegrate Rudiger following discussions between the pair.
The newspaper say there were “heart-to-talk” talks with Rudiger, that “it is understood he will be involved in first-team matters with more regularity” and that “there is a growing sense he will be afforded more playing time in the coming weeks.”
The Mail also reports that Chelsea have decided to train in Russia ahead of their Champions League game against Krasnodar.
Bayern Munich recently cancelled a training session there because of the country’s rising number of coronavirus cases.
