Paper round-up: Arsenal officials set to ask Kroenke more more funds

Arsenal officials are set to appeal to club owner Stan Kroenke for more funds in order to sign Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace, according to the Daily Mail.

It follows reports that the Gunners want Zaha but are offering well below Palace’s asking price.

The Mirror say Arsenal are weighing up an improved offer for Zaha but are also looking at possible alternatives, including Porto’s Yacine Brahimi.

The Sun say Real Sociedad want Arsenal defender Nacho Monreal and that the Gunners want Gremio defender Walter Kannemann but face competition from Wolves.

Meanwhile, West Ham want £40m for wantaway striker Marko Arnautovic, again according to The Sun.

Tottenham could offload both Kieran Trippier and Danny Rose in order to sign Ryan Sessegnon, the Mirror reports.

The newspaper say England right-back Trippier “fears he is on his way out this summer” and that Rose could also move on.

Fulham star Sessegnon has been tipped to make the move to north London and the Mirror say negotiations are continuing over a transfer fee.

The Daily Star say Fulham want £40m for Sessegnon even though he has only a year left on his contract at Craven Cottage.

The Daily Mail again say Tottenham are interested in Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo and that Toby Alderweireld could join the Italian club as part of a deal.

Chelsea hope Callum Hudson-Odoi will be able to return to full training by the start of next month, the Mail also reports.

And the Mail say Anderlecht, now managed by former Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany, have made an enquiry about Brentford midfielder Sergi Canos.
