Arsene Wenger wants Giovanni van Bronckhorst to be his successor as Arsenal manager, the Daily Star claim.
Wenger’s contract runs until the end of next season and there continues to be speculation over who might eventually take over from him at the Emirates Stadium.
The Star claim former Arsenal star Van Bronckhorst, now in charge at Feyenoord, is a “top candidate” for the job along with Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe.
Meanwhile, The Sun say Arsenal could sign Inter Milan’s Portugal midfielder Joao Mario for £26m in January.
There continues to be speculation over the future of Alexis Sanchez.
The Daily Express say Real Madrid are hoping to beat Manchester City to the signing of the Chilean forward, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the season.
The Daily Mirror again link Paris St-Germain with Sanchez, suggesting that the French club are ready to make a move for him when the transfer window opens in January.
And the Daily Mail claim Tottenham are showing an interest in Stevenage’s teenage defender Ben Wilmot.
The 18-year-old is yet to make a league appearance but around 30 scouts are said to have watched him in a recent Checkatrade Trophy game against Brighton’s Under 21s.
The Mail say Spurs and Liverpool are monitoring Wilmot ahead of a possible move.
