QPR director of football Les Ferdinand has confirmed that Swindon Town are interested in taking Osman Kakay on loan.
West London Sport reported earlier this week that Swindon were among a number of clubs interested in R’s youngster Kakay.
And Ferdinand told the Brent & Kilburn Times: “There’s a couple of clubs interested in Osman at the minute.
“I need to speak with Swindon about it, as we know they’ve got their full quota of loan players, and this loan would essentially need to be about Osman getting more game time.
“They’ve shown an interest though, so we’ll see what happens there.”
If Kakay, 19, were to move to the County Ground he would effectively replace fellow right-back Darnell Furlong.
Furlong, who impressed while on loan at Swindon this season, was recalled by Rangers’ earlier this month and is now in Ian Holloway’s side.
R’s boss Holloway said this week: “Oz needs to go and play and I would definitely consider that.
“I think Darnell’s a little bit ahead of him at the moment and they’re a similar sort of age.
“I think he’s a fantastic young man who shows a really good attitude.
“I really like him and if I can get him out on loan then I will.”
