Arsenal v West Bromwich Albion teams: Giroud in, Walcott out, West Brom man back

Olivier Giroud makes his first Premier League start of the season as one of two changes Arsenal have made for the visit of West Bromwich Albion.

The French striker replaces Theo Walcott, who is out with a calf injury, with Alexis Sanchez moving out wide.

The other alteration from the 2-1 defeat at Manchester City sees Kieran Gibbs come in at left-back for Nacho Monreal.

Per Mertesacker, Shkodran Mustafi, Mathieu Debuchy, Aaron Ramsey,  Santi Cazorla, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Danny Welbeck are all absent.

West Brom make one change, with Jonny Evans returning after a calf injury at centre-back.

James Morrison is fit despite having had flu – he is among the substitutes.

West Brom have beaten Arsenal only three times in the 20 Premier League meetings between the clubs. The two teams also met on Boxing Day back in 2002.
