Fulham boss Marco Silva hopes Aleksandar Mitrovic has not sustained any further damage to his ankle following Monday’s 1-0 defeat by Spurs at Craven Cottage.
Mitrovic, who has been carrying a problem in his right foot since before the World Cup, was in severe discomfort following a challenge in the final minutes of the game by Eric Dier and was forced off the field.
The Serbia striker was likely to be rested for Saturday’s FA Cup fourth round clash with Sunderland in any case, and Silva will be hoping he is fit enough to face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on February 3.
“It’s too early to say. He had that problem in the last minutes of the game, so it is a case of seeing how he feels,” Silva said.
“It is the same ankle that he hurt before so we will just have to wait and see.”
