Crystal Palace want Arsenal striker Danny Welbeck, The Sun say.
There has been speculation over the England forward’s future for some time.
And The Sun say say struggling Palace are lining up a £10m bid for Welbeck when the transfer window reopens in January.
Palace boss Roy Hodgson knows him well – Welbeck played under the former England boss for the national team on 25 occasions – and is said to be keen to take him to Selhurst Park.
The Eagles have had injury problems this season and have struggled badly in front of goal – a problem Hodgson knows he needs to resolve in order to keep his side up.
Welbeck’s contract at the Emirates Stadium is due to expire at the end of the season and he has been tipped to move on as he has yet to be offered a new deal by the club.
He is behind Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette in Gunners boss Unai Emery’s pecking order of strikers and there appears to be no prospect of that changing any time soon.
Arsenal are reportedly willing to consider offers for Welbeck in January rather than lose the player on a free transfer at the end of the season.
