Manchester United want to re-sign Wilfried Zaha from Crystal Palace in a £70m-plus deal, according to The Sun on Sunday.
Zaha was unable to establish himself during a previous spell at United but has been tipped to make another big move, having gone from strength to strength since returning to Palace.
Several clubs have been linked with the Ivory Coast international and The Sun on Sunday say he may prefer to stay in London but that a chance to return to Old Trafford could be in the pipeline.
Zaha was involved in a cracking encounter with Chelsea defender Reece James on Saturday at Stamford Bridge, where the Blues won 2-0.
Youngster James impressed despite Zaha giving him a tough test as the pair battled throughout on the flank.
It was a determined performance by Palace, but Chelsea were the better side and Eagles boss Roy Hodgson admitted that his team were very much second best.
“Eventually they score a goal, a good one-two, to go 1-0 up and we couldn’t say that they hadn’t worked hard to deserve their lead,” Hodgson said during his post-match press conference.
“The second goal was a little bit unfortunate for us as I thought we were starting to grow into the game and were looking a little bit more like ourselves, but the shot looped up kindly for Christian Pulisic to score.
“Obviously after that, it was very difficult for us to get back. We didn’t give up and fought right to the end. But this is an unfortunate spell for us, playing against the top teams in the land.”
