James McArthur scored and Yohan Cabaye also featured for Crystal Palace’s development side on Monday afternoon.
Both men played 45 minutes of a 2-0 win against Burnley as part of their comebacks from their respective injury problems.
McArthur came on for Cabaye at half-time and doubled Palace’s lead with an injury-time strike after Sam Woods had opened the scoring midway through the second half.
Meanwhile, Eberechi Eze scored a hat-trick and there was also a goal for Sean Goss as QPR’s Under-23s began their season with a 4-1 win against Hull City.
Recent signing Alex Baptiste featured for Rangers in the game at their Harlington training ground, where Eze opened the scoring and the visitors equalised before half-time.
Eze restored the lead midway through the second half after being set up by Danny Rowe.
Goss made it 3-1 before Eze completed his hat-trick with a penalty after Reece Grego-Cox was fouled in the area.
