Crystal Palace have opened talks with Wilfried Zaha’s representatives over a potential new contract for the winger.
Zaha has been tipped to leave Selhurst Park this summer, with Tottenham continually linked with a move for the 24-year-old.
However, Palace want him to stay and on Wednesday began negotiations which could lead to him signing an improved deal.
Meanwhile, Palace are hoping to agree a deal to sign Mamadou Sakho on a permanent basis from Liverpool despite reports he could cost a huge fee.
It has been claimed that Liverpool could demand as much as £30m for the French defender, who impressed while on loan at Palace, playing a key role in their Premier League survival.
Eagles chairman Steve Parish has confirmed that negotiations will take place in an effort to sign the 27-year-old.
“The money needs to work for us and for Liverpool,” Parish told Holmesdale Radio.
“I’m sure there’ll be a negotiation on that. If we can make it work, of course we’d like to. I’m not going to try and be coy or clever on that.
“He’s a very good player and I think he likes being with us. We like him. Let’s hope we can do it.
“You cannot con anyone that he did not make a massive difference. It is one we would like to do.”
