Tottenham crush Chelsea in vital derby – player ratings

Tottenham ended their 28-year wait for a win at Chelsea as they triumphed 3-1 at Stamford Bridge.

Christian Eriksen cancelled out Alvaro Morata’s opener before Dele Alli’s double after the break sealed a long-awaited victory.

Willy Caballero – Picked instead of Thibaut Courtois, Caballero could possibly have done better with Tottenham’s opening goal – 6/10

Cesar Azpilicueta – Was impressive in the first half, but as with so many of Chelsea’s players he faded after the break – 6

Andreas Christensen – A solid performance throughout, but was caught napping for Tottenham’s second goal – 6

Antonio Rudiger – Played a superb role in Chelsea’s goal and did well in the first half – 6

Victor Moses – Set up Chelsea’s goal but was at fault for Spurs’ equaliser and barely contributed in the second half – 6

N’Golo Kante – Snapped at Tottenham’s heels throughout – 6

Cesc Fabregas – A quiet afternoon for Fabregas in the middle of the park – 5

Marcos Alonso – A constant threat down the left, especially in the first half, Alonso could easily have scored a couple of goals – 7

Willian – Made a lively start to the game but faded rapidly – 5

Eden Hazard – Chelsea’s best player on the ball, a danger in the first half, but struggled to make the same impact after the break – 7

Alvaro Morata – Ended a goal drought that went back to Boxing Day but did not do too much else – 6

Hugo Lloris – Was at fault for Chelsea’s opener when he came for a cross and missed, but he did make some good saves – 6

Kieran Trippier – Busy up and down the right-hand side but did not make too much of an impact – 6

Jan Vertonghen – Overcame a shaky first half to lead the Spurs defence admirably – 7

Davinson Sanchez – Again looked solid next to Vertonghen, got his body in the way at vital times to help Spurs see it out – 6

Ben Davies – Solid enough down the left, though Chelsea’s goal came from his side and he was booked after the break –6

Eric Dier – Provided a brilliant assist for Alli’s first goal and got all over the pitch for his side’s cause – 7

Mousa Dembele – A bit risky with the ball at times but his man-mountain frame proved a tough obstacle for Chelsea to bypass – 7

Erik Lamela – Was wasteful in possession in the first half and did not feature much after the break – 5

Christian Eriksen – Brought Spurs level in stunning fashion at a great time just before the break and made his team tick – 7

Dele Alli – Celebrated his 100th Premier League appearance in fine style with two goals to lead Spurs to a famous victory – 8

Son Heung-min – Not at his most influential but still almost scored a fine goal and was involved in the build-up to Tottenham’s third goal – 6
