Timo Werner gives clear indication he is heading to Chelsea or Liverpool

Germany striker Timo Werner is reportedly taking English lessons ahead of a potential move to the Premier League.

Chelsea have been strongly linked with the RB Leipzig star, who has long been tipped to move to England.

The Blues face competition from Liverpool, whose manager Jurgen Klopp is known to be an admirer of the player.

The likes of Borussia Dortmund and Barcelona have also been linked with Werner, but it appears that his heart is set on a move to England.

Bleacher Report say Werner, 24, is learning English and is excited about the prospect of playing in the Premier League.

That seems like a clear indication that Werner is likely to be playing in west London or on Merseyside next season.

Chelsea are in the market for a striker, with manager Frank Lampard looking to sign at least one when the transfer window reopens.

Lampard was keen to boost his attacking options during the January window but was unable to do so, so he looks certain to spend this time around.

Chelsea have been heavily reliant on Tammy Abraham and their limited options look likely to dwindle further, with Olivier Giroud expected to move on when his contract expires this summer.
