Three Chelsea players touted for possible January move to Sevilla in swap for Kounde

Chelsea are already being tipped to make another attempt to sign Jules Kounde when the transfer window reopens in January.

Kounde is reportedly furious that Sevilla blocked a move to Stamford Bridge ahead of this week’s deadline.

The France defender was tipped to join the Blues, whose offloading of Kurt Zouma to West Ham appeared to have paved the way for Kounde to move to west London.

But Sevilla stood firm over the asking price and Chelsea were unable to agree a deal in the final hours of the transfer window.

The Daily Express reports that Kounde is deeply unhappy about that and was keen for the transfer to go through. The story comes via the Spanish Football Podcast.

And The Express has also speculated that Chelsea could offer players to Sevilla in part-exchange for Kounde in an attempt to get a deal done in January.

Andreas Christensen, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Malang Sarr are touted as three players who could be offered to the La Liga outfit.

Centre-backs Christensen and Sarr would directly replace Kounde, while midfielder Loftus-Cheek faces an uncertain future at Chelsea, where there is major competition for a place.

It comes after The Guardian reported that Chelsea are planning to go back in for Kounde when the window opens again.
