Sky pundit predicts Wolves will beat ‘vulnerable’ Chelsea

Charlie Nicholas has predicted that Wolves will upset Chelsea in Saturday’s game at Molineux.

The Blues have been in encouraging form under boss Frank Lampard, with youngsters Mason Mount and Tammy Abraham making an impact in particular.

But pundit Nicholas believes they are still vulnerable at the back and will lose the game this weekend.

In his predictions for Sky Sports, former Arsenal and Scotland striker Nicholas predicted a 2-1 win for the home side.

He said: “Wolves do well against the big teams. Tammy Abraham has been in form and Mason Mount has been spectacularly good.

“Chelsea are still vulnerable at the back and will be threatened by Diogo Jota and Raul Jimenez up front. I see Wolves beating Chelsea this weekend, and Wolves are the team, as many people that are talking about Leicester, that could definitely override the top-six trend.”

Chelsea are hoping N’Golo Kante, Antonio Rudiger and Mateo Kovacic will be available for the trip to the Midlands.

Rudiger has been working his way back to the fitness after a knee problem and Kante was sidelined by an ankle injury prior to the international break, while Kovacic withdrew from the Croatia squad because of an Achilles injury.
