Romelu Lukaku is reportedly set to be offered a return to Chelsea.
The striker’s second spell at Stamford Bridge was a major disappointment and he has been on loan at Inter Milan.
His time at Chelsea appeared to be over, but the Telegraph say he will be asked if he would like the chance to revive his Blues career under Mauricio Pochettino..
The newspaper say Chelsea plan to hold talks with Lukaku to explore the possibility of bringing him back.
Meanwhile, Simon Jordan has questioned whether Pochettino would bring success to Chelsea.
Club owner Todd Boehly is tipped to bring in the former Spurs boss as head coach following talks between the pair.
Pochettino would replace Frank Lampard, who was placed in interim charge at Stamford Bridge following the sacking of Graham Potter.
Pochettino led Spurs to a Champions League final prior to a difficult spell in charge at French giants Paris St-Germain.
The Argentine is a popular figure in north London, and has been linked with a return to Tottenham.
He has won plaudits for his style of play and coaching methods – but former Crystal Palace chairman Jordan points to Pochettino’s lack of silverware.
Speaking on Talksport, Jordan said: “I don’t think anyone would doubt the fact that he’s passionate. I don’t think anyone would doubt the fact that he can bring people with him.
“My question about Pochettino is whether he has this tiny little factor that only the top guys have, which is something you can’t bottle and can’t distil, which is this win gene. I don’t think he has it.”
