Chelsea are firmly on course for the last 16 of the Europa League after a first-leg win against Malmo.
Ross Barkley and Olivier Giroud scored for the Blues in a 2-1 win in Sweden.
But many Chelsea fans on Twitter again expressed dismay at Callum Hudson-Odoi being left out by boss Maurizio Sarri once more.
And Sarri first bringing on Eden Hazard rather than Hudson-Odoi and then giving the youngster just six minutes of game time caused even more discontent.
With Bayern Munich pursuing him, many Chelsea fans continue to worry that Hudson-Odoi’s lack of first-team chances will result in him leaving the club.
Decent enough result for #CFC today but should’ve honestly been by a bigger margin. Fell asleep and conceded a goal, not clinical enough to get a 3rd. No way Hudson-Odoi shouldn’t be starting for this team. #KTBFFH

Christensen, Ampadu, RLC, Hudson-odoi and Abraham… that should be our spine for the future instead they will all leave in the summer and we will try keep 30+ yr olds on 1 year contacts madness #cfc

Just think, Chelsea are very probably going to lose Hazard and Hudson-Odoi this summer.
Part of the reason why is Sarri (certainly with CHO anyway). Is he worth that?
I can’t think of one person that could answer yes to that while keeping a straight face.#MALCHE #CFC

Hudson Odoi doesn’t start. Hudson Odoi doesn’t come on in the 60min. Hudson Odoi comes on with 10 mins remaining against a pub team. Brilliant management Sarri! #MALCHE #CFC

Hudson-Odoi coming on at 84 minutes is more of a kick in the teeth then not playing at all, literally driving him out of the club. Wouldn’t mind but those in front of him aren’t exactly pulling up trees #CFC

If I was Callum Hudson Odoi I’d stick two middle fingers up at Sarri and refuse to come on. #CFC

Bringing Hudson-Odoi on now is more of a slap in the face to be honest! I doubt he will start on Monday, another shining talent leave us due to stubbornness from the manager! #CHELSEA #cfc #EuropaLeague #chelseafc

Well done sarri showing Hudson odoi he worth 5 mins #CFC

Hudson-Odoi has to leave Chelsea. It really is that simple. He has been treated like absolute rubbish by Sarri; I don’t care about the contract situation. He’s off and who can blame him? Sarri and the club must take the full blame. No excuses. #CFC

I actually wouldn’t blame Hudson-Odoi for leaving Chelsea now. Should be given plenty of minutes in games like this. It’s getting harder to continue to back Sarri and his decisions #CFC #KTBFFH

Wouldn’t blame Hudson-Odoi if he didn’t bother turning up for training anymore, just sit at home for 6 months and wait for a club who care to come in for him #CFC

If Hudson-odoi doesn’t start against United on Monday he has every right to leave #cfc #MALCHE

2-0 up away from home and you bring Hazard on for Willian but leave Hudson-Odoi on the bench. At what point does he get a chance?
@Calteck10 #cfc #MALCHE — David Fester (@Dave_Fester) February 14, 2019
Hazard and NOT Hudson-Odoi coming on for Willian is simply ridiculous.
Sorry, but why?#CFC #MALCHE #UEL

Sarri bringing Hazard on when we’re winning 2-0. Meanwhile Hudson-Odoi is on the bench.
#CFC — Cleopatra N Nketiah (@radjoa) February 14, 2019
Surely Hudson-Odoi could have come on for Willian
#CFC — Blue Boys (@ShedEndUpper) February 14, 2019
Why are you bringing Hazard on and not Hudson-Odoi?!!! #cfc #chelsea
— Chloe Pearce (@TheBlueLioness) February 14, 2019
Hudson-Odoi played 214 minutes before Bayern’s offer over five months. Then he got the offer and played more than that in a month. Now he is struggling to get anywhere near the pitch again. Only played 13 minutes since the window closed. #CFC #UEL

No Hudson-Odoi in the starting line up against Malmo because the transfer window is closed so we know he can’t leave. What a joke. Give him a chance. @Calteck10 #cfc #MALCHE
— David Fester (@Dave_Fester) February 14, 2019
Hudson-Odoi came on, didn’t lose the ball once, set up a very good attack beating multiple players and helped relieve pressure multiple times. WAY more effective than Pedro and Willian it is UNBELIEVABLE that he does not start for us. Sarri needs to get with it. #MALCHE #CFC
