Armando Broja is determined to make an impact at Chelsea after being given a new deal by the club.
The Albania international, 19, has signed a five-year contract at Stamford Bridge, where he is regarded as an excellent prospect.
Broja has made one first-team appearance for the Blues so far. It came as a late substitute during a 4-0 win at home to Everton in March last year.
Now he is aiming to build on that debut by establishing himself at the club.
He was on loan at Vitesse Arnhem last season, scoring 10 goals in 30 league matches for the Dutch outfit.
Broja is expected to be loaned out again for the coming season in order for him to gain more first-team experience, but beyond then the youngster sees his future as being very much as a Chelsea player.
“I am really excited to be signing a new contract with Chelsea,” he told the club’s official website.
“Having come through the academy here it was a special moment for me to make my first-team debut last year, before gaining further experience on loan at Vitesse last season.
“I want to build on these foundations and I am really looking forward to progressing and making an impact at Chelsea in the years to come.”
