Chelsea boss Antonio Conte says he has no qualms about choosing Andreas Christensen for the game against title rivals Manchester City.
Christensen, 21, is set to play in the vital game at Stamford Bridge because David Luiz is suspended.
And Conte has insisted the Danish centre-back has shown that he is ready for the big stage.
Speaking at a press conference ahead of the game, Conte said: “David Luiz is a very important player and for sure it is a big loss, but I think Andreas Christensen is playing very well and showing that he is a really good player.
“He is a young player but with good maturity and good experience and I am happy with his performances.”
Chelsea will face a City side that sit top of the Premier League after six matches and have looked impressive under boss Pep Guardiola this season.
“We know very well his team like to have possession and dominate the game,” said Conte.
“City are a really good team and have a lot of experience, but we are playing at home and for us our fans will try to push us from the start to the end and I think their support will be very important.”
