Chelsea news update: Tomori interest, Willian upset with Blues, Havertz latest

Rennes want Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori, according to L’Équipe.

The French publication say Rennes have opened talks over a possible deal for Tomori, who faces stiff competition for a place at Chelsea.

It is not yet clear whether it would be a loan or permanent deal.

Tomori was given a chance in the Blues first team by boss Frank Lampard earlier in the season and impressed.

However, he is now behind the likes of Antonio Rudiger, Andreas Christensen and Kurt Zouma in the pecking order and it seems a loan move would definitely suit all parties at this stage of Tomori’s career.

Willian ‘upset and offended’

There continues to be speculation over the future of Willian, who looks set to leave Chelsea.

The out of contract winger wants a three-year deal to stay at Stamford Bridge but has only been offered two years.

Arsenal are reportedly in talks to sign him and the Brazilian has also been linked with Tottenham, having previously played under Spurs’ former Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

And according to ESPN, sources have suggested that Willian is “upset and even offended” that Chelsea have not done more to try to keep him at the club.

Havertz ‘still fighting for Leverkusen’

Chelsea continue to be linked with a move for Kai Havertz.

Reports in Germany suggest Havertz wants to leave Bayer Leverkusen and is keen to join the Blues.

However, The Sun reports that Leverkusen boss Peter Bosz is sure Havertz remains committed to his current club.

“I’m convinced that he’s 100 per cent still fighting for Leverkusen,” Bosz is quoted as saying.
