Chelsea given big indication that Higuain deal is on

Chelsea appear to be edging closer to a deal to bring in Gonzalo Higuain.

Head coach Maurizio Sarri is desperate for Chelsea to sign the Argentine striker, who played under him at Napoli and is currently on a season-long loan at AC Milan from Juventus.

The deal is therefore far from straightforward, but Higuain is believed to be keen to move to Stamford Bridge and Juve have reportedly indicated that they are ready to do a deal.

There have also been reports in Italy that Higuain has formally requested to leave Milan and be allowed to move to Stamford Bridge.

And the Daily Mirror reports that Milan are lining up Genoa striker Krzysztof Piatek in what seems to be an indication that they expect Higuain to go.

Former Milan forward Antonio Cassano has stated that believes Higuain wants to join the Blues because he is unhappy with the lack of service he is getting at Milan.

Cassano is quoted as saying: “If Milan are having problems it’s because they don’t have players who can give him the right ball. His movement on the pitch is great, but no one gives him service – that’s why he wants to go to Chelsea.

“He’s having difficulties but he’s not finished. He’s always able to score and make a difference.”
