Chelsea duo to return: Expected Blues line-up v Man Utd

Chelsea face Manchester United at Stamford Bridge tonight and Blues boss Frank Lampard has important decisions to make.

A win over Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side would be a huge boost for Chelsea in their quest for a top-four finish and Lampard is hoping that Tammy Abraham will be fit to lead the attack.

Lampard revealed at a press conference on Friday that Abraham is still “feeling the effects” of an ankle problem and will be assessed ahead of the match but that Chelsea are “hopeful” he will be fit.

Lampard seemed cautiously optimistic that the England striker will be involved against United, who have endured a troubled season so far.

Meanwhile, Lampard will surely recall Willian in place of Pedro, who featured in the 2-2 draw at Leicester prior to the winter break.

So too did Willy Caballero, with Lampard opting to drop keeper Kepa Arrizabalaga following some disappointing performances.

Lampard said on Friday he had already made a decision on whether to recall Kepa, who has come in for criticism this season.

It seems likely that Kepa will get the nod – not least because Caballero was himself far from convincing against Leicester.

Expected Chelsea team: Kepa, James, Rudiger, Christensen, Azpilicueta, Jorginho, Kante, Mount, Hudson-Odoi, Willian, Abraham.
