Chances for English players: figures show Chelsea and Arsenal bottom

England players have accounted for less than a third of playing time in the Premier League so far this season.

The numbers speak for themselves – and back up England manager Gareth Southgate’s concerns over the lack of opportunities for homegrown players.

The numbers also show that Chelsea and Arsenal trail when it comes to first-team chances for English players.

Burnley and Bournemouth top the list, while Tottenham are the highest-placed London club.
