Ross Barkley has suffered another hamstring and is set to miss Chelsea’s game against Watford, according to The Telegraph.

The Blues’ recent signing, who returned to action last month after several months on the sidelines, had hamstring surgery last summer.

The Telegraph say he is nursing a new problem and that this will lead to question marks over Antonio Conte’s training methods as it will be the eighth hamstring injury suffered by a Chelsea player this season.

Willian could return for Monday’s game following a hamstring injury, Andreas Christensen has been sidelined by one, and Alvaro Morata, Victor Moses, N’Golo Kante, Gary Cahill and Cesc Fabregas have all had hamstring trouble this season.

The Telegraph reports that there are suggestions Conte has not adapted his training sessions to take into account the number of matches his players are facing.

It comes amid continued speculation over the future of Conte, with reports claiming his position is under threat.

Speaking at a press conference last week, the Italian said: “There has been a lot of speculation and a lot of rumours about me.

“The only thing I can tell you is that I have 18 months of a contract and my will is to stay here. I don’t see any problems about this.”
