Chelsea reportedly plan to stick with Antonio Conte despite reports the Italian faces the sack.
Sky are reporting that Conte will remain as Blues boss and the club have not approached any potential replacements.
His future appeared to be in serious doubt following his team’s 4-1 defeat at Watford.
Coming less than a week after they were beaten 3-0 at home by Bournemouth, the result left fourth-placed Chelsea just one point ahead of Tottenham in the race for a Champions League place.
Reports suggested Conte’s job is hanging by a thread – while bookmakers Paddy Power have suspended betting on the Italian being sacked today.
However, Conte has insisted he is not worried about his future.
Speaking at his post-match press conference after the Watford defeat, the Italian declared: “I am not worried about my job. I work every day and give 120%. If this is enough, it’s OK. Otherwise the club can take a different decision. But I am not worried.
“Every press conference: ‘Are you worried about your job?’. No. I am not worried. Tomorrow is another day. I can be the Chelsea coach, or not. Which is the problem?
“My soul is clear. I go to sleep without the problem. I do my job and if this is enough, it’s OK. Otherwise, I go home and I have zero problem to sleep well.”
He added: ““I tried to warn everyone about the difficulty of our path and the difficulty to find a place in the Champions League.
“But now we are facing a lot of difficulty and you can see we performed very bad.”
