Bayern Munich are expected to make Chelsea another offer for Callum Hudson-Odoi after having a bid for the youngster rejected.
The Blues have reportedly turned down around £20m for the 18-year-old forward, who has made one Premier League appearance under Maurizio Sarri this season.
Reports in Germany say Bayern are determined to land Hudson-Odoi and are about to return with another offer in an effort to get a deal agreed.
Hudson-Odoi’s contract at Stamford Bridge expires next year and it has been reported that Chelsea could be willing to cash in rather than lose him for a compensation fee when his deal runs out.
He is too young to move on a free transfer under the Bosman ruling but Chelsea would not get anything like the kind of money German clubs seem willing to pay now were Hudson-Odoi to leave at the end of his contract.
Borussia Dortmund and RB Leipzig are also believed to be interested but are yet to make an approach.
Hudson-Odoi leaving would disappoint many Chelsea fans as he is regarded as a fine prospect, with many hoping he will make the grade as a homegrown Blues player.
But he has barely featured under Sarri and may move on in search of first-team football.
