Agent hints Jorginho could look to leave Chelsea

Jorginho’s agent Joao Santos appears to have suggested the midfielder could seek a move from Chelsea next year.

The Italy international has been repeatedly linked with a return to Serie A, with Juventus among clubs said to be interested in him.

Jorginho is under contract at Stamford Bridge until 2023 – but Santos has indicated that the player could look to leave after next year’s World Cup.

“He has a contract with Chelsea until 2023. Obviously, it would be a dream for him to return to Italy, hopefully after winning the World Cup,” Santos told Radio Bianconera, as reported by Goal.com.

“We’ll have to see what the market looks like in a couple of years and what the other situations are.”

Santos has long been keen to talk up the prospect of Jorginho returning to Italy.

He played under Maurizio Sarri at Napoli and Chelsea and was heavily tipped to join him at Juventus when Sarri was in charge at the Turin club.

No move materialised, but Santos has again insisted that it might have done.

“In the past, when Sarri was the coach, there was a possibility that Jorginho would come to Juventus,” Santos said.

“The Juventus director made an approach, it was a possibility.”
