Charlton and Millwall are both interested in out-of-contract Swindon Town captain Nathan Thompson.
The 26-year-old defender has been offered a new deal by the relegated Robins and will be available on a Bosman free transfer if he does not re-sign at the County Ground.
He is on Millwall’s radar, although it remains to be seen whether the Lions will now alter their transfer plans after winning promotion to the Championship via the play-offs.
Charlton are certainly very interested, with Addicks boss Karl Robinson keen to add Thompson to his squad this summer.
A number of other League One clubs have been monitoring Thompson’s situation in recent months.
It has been claimed there is interest in him from Championship sides QPR and Ipswich Town as well.
Thompson, who has been with Swindon for his entire career so far, is one of several players to have been linked with QPR in recent weeks.
